Job Description

Inclusive Hearts is looking for someone who is ready to not only change their own life, but the life of children with autism and related disorders through evidence based practices and a compassionate approach.


The Role of a Behavior Technician:

  • Works 1:1 with children, teens, or young adults in their homes, schools, and communities
  • Take data on observes behaviors as trained by your supervisor
  • Implement protocols (e.g. Behavior Intervention Plans) to help reduce challenging behavior
  • Attend trainings and utilize ABA concepts


Ability To:

  • Lift at least 20 pounds
  • Must be able to remain stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must have reliable transportation to and between clients home
  • Must be able to move about the child's home, playground, or natural environment to engage in early intervention therapy
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g. Tablet)
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs/ladders to engage children in gross motor activities
  • Must be able to position self on the floor to engage with children during floor-time activities
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with parents and other educators who have inquires about early intervention therapy/techniques. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must be able to detect, recognize, observe, and assess red-flag behaviors

Desired Skills but Not Necessary:

  • Experience working with children/teens (e.g. babysitting, instructional aide, nanny, education settings, mentor, etc)
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs
  • An Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis
  • Bilingual

The Role of a Behavior Technician (RBT Or BCAT):

  • Must have RBT or BCAT completed
  • Works 1:1 with children, teens, or young adults in their school
  • Take data on observes behaviors as trained by your supervisor
  • Implement protocols (e.g. Behavior Intervention Plans) to help reduce challenging behavior
  • Data collection in classrooms to assist BCBA with BIP and FBAs
  • Assist BCBA with staff training on BIPs
  • Attend meetings as necessary with BCBA, as needed
  • Create materials as requested by the BCBA (will be provided)


Ability To:
